Principal AI Architect Jobs in Hyderabad offer an exciting opportunity for experienced technology professionals with 8–12 years of experience in AI/ML, Knowledge Graphs, GraphRAG, Python, and enterprise architecture.

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Principal AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade AI and Knowledge Graph solutions.

This is a hands-on architecture and engineering role for a technology leader who continues to write production code, design data architectures, build scalable systems, and work closely with engineering teams and enterprise clients.

The Principal AI Architect will lead the RCG implementation track within Pathfinder, design federated Knowledge Graph architectures for clients, and work closely with the Founder & CEO on technical strategy, product development, and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Knowledge Graph Engineering

• Design and implement RCG schemas, ontologies, knowledge graph patterns, and data models.
• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Knowledge Graph solutions using Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, and other graph technologies.
• Design federated Knowledge Graph architectures supporting multi-tenant and enterprise deployments.
• Develop ontology-driven reasoning and Knowledge Graph-augmented retrieval solutions.
• Define scalable architectures covering governance, data lineage, security, observability, and multi-tenancy.

AI & Production Engineering

• Build and deploy production-grade AI systems using Python, Cypher, Gremlin, SPARQL, LangGraph, LangChain, and modern AI tooling.
• Develop GraphRAG and Knowledge Graph-based AI applications for enterprise use cases.
• Work closely with engineers to design, implement, test, and operate scalable production systems.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies and developer tools into engineering workflows.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate software development.

Technical Leadership

• Lead technical architecture discussions with client architects, technology leaders, and CIOs.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable AI and Knowledge Graph architectures.
• Mentor senior engineers and help establish engineering and architectural best practices.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, development, deployment, and production operations.
• Contribute to product roadmap discussions, technical publications, white papers, and patent initiatives.

Enterprise Architecture

• Design highly scalable, secure, observable, and governed enterprise AI platforms.
• Establish architectural standards for data governance, lineage, access control, and multi-tenancy.
• Design AWS-based AI and Knowledge Graph architectures where required.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and client teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3–4 years working on AI/ML systems.
• Strong track record of actively coding and delivering production software.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Knowledge Graph technologies such as:
  • Neo4j
  • Amazon Neptune
  • TigerGraph
  • Cypher
  • Gremlin
  • SPARQL
• Strong programming expertise in Python.
• Hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain.
• Practical experience building GraphRAG, ontology-driven reasoning, or Knowledge Graph-augmented retrieval systems.
• Experience designing enterprise-grade platforms with governance, lineage, observability, security, and multi-tenancy.
• Experience using modern AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Graph Theory, Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation, or a related field.
• Open-source contributions, technical publications, patents, or research experience.
• Experience working with SAP or ERP data models.
• Experience in AI-first technology companies or product organizations.
• Strong AWS architecture experience, particularly with:
  • Amazon Bedrock
  • Amazon SageMaker
  • Amazon Neptune
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS IAM

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology architect and engineer who combines deep software engineering expertise with practical experience in AI, Knowledge Graphs, and enterprise architecture.

You should be comfortable moving between architecture design, production coding, technical discussions with enterprise stakeholders, mentoring engineering teams, and solving complex technical problems.

This role is particularly suited to professionals who have recently built and deployed production AI and Knowledge Graph systems rather than candidates whose experience is primarily academic, theoretical, or presentation-focused.
